This following thread will be an intensive guide on the types of races and alliances that exists in Erion. Please be noted that several of the races here includes potential occupations for that particular race, which can come in handy when you write up your profile. The list of races we have down are the only races available for RISE & FALL, so no, you can't be a magical dragon or a Pooka if they're not listed here. Each post is separated by ALLIANCE (except for neutral), kingdom-based. The following is a legend on how to read the races/alliances.

"Be patient and tough; someday, this pain will be useful to you." background info, The Aesir Vanguard is the royal military of the Raganival kingdom ruled by its king, the Demon Lord known as Odin. The Aesir is known for their ruthless warriors who excel in close-quarter combats and their brutal frontlines force. They abide strictly with their beliefs that dying an honorable death on the battlefield is the most glorious death they can be graced with. Currently, the Aesir are at war withthe Vanir forces in their desperate struggle for control over the Cauldron.
DEMON LORD, *TITAN There can only be one Demon Lord in Erion. The title is exclusive only to the powerful sorceror and titan deity known as ODIN. Wise and weathered with the experience of war, Odin has lived up to nearly 400 years but with his longetivity and magic, has upheld a youthful appearance. He is the ruler of all of Raganival, and his throne is situated in its capital, Nebulapolis. PM RIOT IF INTERESTED FOR THIS POSITION!
BATTLE LORD, *DEMI-HUMAN Battle Lords are important figureheads, as they are war generals of Odin's troops. There are in total five Battle Lords, and each of them commands their own platoon of special soldiers they have handpicked from the rest of the soldiers. However in general, these Lords lead the troops in battle with the Demon Lord flanking the frontlines. Battle Lords also have a place and a say in Raganival's politics, and the leading Battle Lord can temporarily replace Odin of his position if the situation ever calls for it.
[/b] -- ASDIS SVANA, valkyrie captain BATTLE LORD -- LUCIFER LACERTE, battle lord BATTLE LORD -- openBATTLE LORD -- openBATTLE LORD -- open[/ul] VALKYRIE, *DEMI-HUMANThe Valkyries are Odin's maidens of war - they are winged women who possess great combat skill and experience, and are just as tough and ruthless as their male comrades. With their vibrantly-colored wings, they can take flight for short periods of time, giving them an upper hand on the battlefield. Valkyries are never to be wed, and if they ever should disgrace their title, then they will have their reputation and status as a Valkyrie revoked, and their wings stripped. Exiled Valkyries will be wed to a soldier or a man, and will bear their children and grow old. BESERKER, *DEMI-HUMAN & HUMANBerserkers are powerful warriors clad in bearskin cloaks and heavy steel plate armor. They're much more powerful than your regular foot soldier, that's for sure. Armed with vast knowledge over a variety of weapons, their versatility and brute strength is without a doubt, a large factor all of Aesir's winning battles. If they were to have a counterpart, it would be the Valkyries. Berserkers can be considered as 'seasoned' or 'senior soldiers' to many others, and usually only a handful of the more skilled serves directly beneath the Battle Lords or even the Demon Lord himself. WARRIOR, *DEMI-HUMAN & HUMANWarriors are your average foot soldiers. They specialize in battle, nothing else. However, don't be fooled by their lower standing on the field; in numbers, even Warriors can overcome the hardest of all hardships, and can bestow the winning tide of battle for their leaders. Newer recruits and fresh meat that has joined the team are often sorted into this niche. Seasoned Warriors have the potential to receive a promotion to a Beserker. NAPALM HANDS, *HUMANNaplam Hands are the soldiers that lack the skill to do close-quarter combat. These special soldiers are in fact, scientists - they use Alchemy and create a special explosive liquid known as Napalm. Armed with their potion pitching arms, they become a deadly, acid terror as they shower their enemies with their Napalm demonstrations on the battlefields. VANIR THE ROYALTY OF GRACE AND SPLENDOR

ELVEN QUEEN, *ELF There can only be one Queen of the Elves in Erion, and the title is exclusive only to the powerful elven witch and fairy queen known as ELFARIA. Powerful, and just as old as Odin (estimating a lifespan of about 400 years), she has magical powers that can enslave dragons to do her bidding as well as maintain her youthful beauty. She resides in her forest throne in Ringford, capital fortress of Fairy Land. PM RIOT IF INTERESTED FOR THIS POSITION!
THRONE, *ELF Thrones are the top advisors and supporters of the Queen. They are a perfect blend of chivalry and strength. While maintaining their deep ties with the kingdom's politics, they are also the Queen's personal 'war generals'; hence they are the leaders in battle for the Vanir. They also indirectly represent the Queen, and are always armed with their own platoon of Paladins or Unicorn Knights. Educated, and well-versed in battle, Thrones are the epitome of grace and splendor - the nation's two most important virtues. There can only be five Thrones. The leading Throne can replace Queen Elfaria temporarily if she falls in the middle of a crisis.

With their beautiful, butterfly wings, they can take flight in battle and snipe down enemies far-away at a distance with their bows and magical arrows. Hunters use a special type of 'arrow' alongside with the regular ones, known as Arcane Bolts. These bolts are powerful shots of their magical energy condensed in the form of arrows. Unlike Valkyries, Hunters are more graceful and fair, and do not wear alot of armor since the weight will drag them down. In addition, they can keep afloat for much longer periods of time than the Aesir's battle maidens. UNICORN KNIGHT, *ELF/HALF-ELFThe Unicorn Knight is a powerful warrior clad in silver-white amor, and armed with a lance as their primary choice of weapon. Unicorn Knights must be built physically strong; they ram themselves against their enemies to clear a path for their comrades on the battlefield. In addition, they are very agile despite their heavy armor, and are quite adept with rapiers in dueling matches. Unicorn Knights are much more seasoned and experienced than their fellow Paladin soliders, which makes them valuable assets of the Vanir forces. PALADIN, *ELF, HALF-ELF, HUMANPaladins are the foot soldiers of the Vanir force. They specialize in various areas, from frontlines battle to stealth and recon. They are also quite versatile in the weapons range; from rapiers and sabres to crossbows and axes, Paladins are the driving force, and arguably the 'body' of the entire Vanir army. Eager citizens and fighters joining the Vanir forces for the first time are often sorted into their Paladin uniforms. ELF CASTERS, *ELFThese maidens are in fact, Fairies; They are a special race of Elves that can cast Arcane Bolts from their magic staves. While they are physically weak and can be taken down easily in physical combat, Elf Caster can cast powerful Arcane Bolts on an equal level as Elf Hunters can thanks to their vast reserves of magic. ENDELPHIA THE CORPSE OF DESPAIR AND REPENTANCE

"Everything that is born passes away." background info, The Netherworld (or known as Netherworld Endelphia) is a dark and dismal place; it is protected by a magic barrier that prevents the living souls from trespassing its borders, while cages the souls of the dead within. Souls who have died are reborn as Endelphian citizens of this rotting nation, and they are all ruled by the fearsome Queen of Death, ODETTE. While Endelphia is a nation that's separate from the rest of the other countries of Erion, it is also the place where the magic crystals known as PSYPHERS grow.
QUEEN OF DEATH, *TITANESS There is only one queen of the realm of the dead in Erion, and that is ODETTE. Fearsome, frightening, and ghastly - she is like a spectre in the shadows, where she can hide herself from view at will and appear while cradled by her crescent-shaped throne. She will seek any living soul who has trespassed her kingdom borders by imprisoning them in Endelphia, torturing them even after death. PM RIOT IF INTERESTED FOR THIS POSITION!
HALJA, *UNDEAD The Halja are Queen Odette's personal messengers of death - unlike normal reapers, they only scour and haunt important souls or targeted enemies of the Queen's. There are only five Halja messengers. In addition, they can make contracts with the living, granting them power, but in return they will reap their souls with any opportune chance they get. These frightening apparitions are most certainly powerful, and they can freely travel across the world, searching for new victims to torture with their deathly sickles and scythes.
[/b] -- openHALJA -- openHALJA -- openHALJA -- openHALJA -- open[/ul] REVENANT, *UNDEADRevenants are souls who have commited heavy sins and crime in their past lives, and are doomed to be tortured by wandering aimlessly in Endelphia, forever. They carry a large candle-topped pitchfork, illuminating the darkness as punishment. While they can travel throughout Erion freely, they scare away most mortals, and most seldom leave Endelphia. GEIST, *UNDEADGeists are the regular spirits and ghosts of Endelphia. While they are spirits, any mere mortal can see them if they will it. Geists can also hide themselves away in the fabric of space, effectively away from the vision of other human beings as well. Like Revenants, they are bound to remain in Endelphia, but they are free to travel through Erion. Several Geists serve as Queen Odette's eyes, and are always on the lookout for any trespassers and will report back to her if they ever do spot one. WRAITH, *UNDEADWraiths are like the Halja, except that they are bound by the regulation to only reap souls that are expected to die. They are your regular Death Gods or Soul Reapers; they appear only when a person is dying, and will reap their soul and guide them back to netherworld Endelphia. Wraiths are also the most neutral and calm race to exist in Endelphia - they don't feel strongly for anything, not even for their Queen, as they have witnessed death one too many times to give 'priorities'.[/blockquote][/blockquote] [/justify][/size][/font]

VOLKENON THE FLAMES OF PASSION AND DESTRUCTION

background info, The Fire Kingdom is ruled by a titan known as ONYX. The Fire Kingdom is neutral in the war that's fought over the Cauldron - and keeps close ties and a sort of loose alliance with the Aesir countrymen. In this nation, it is a single volcano island south of Erion, surrounded by ridges and valleyfolds, the land is consumed by constant fires and the active volcano spews magma everywhere.
INFERNO KING *TITAN There is only one king of the Fire Kingdom, and that is Inferno King ONYX. This fiery titan is born from the deepest pits of the Volkenon volcano, and has lived just as long as the rest of the other titans in Erion for about 400 years. As ruler of the Fire Kingdom, Onyx's powers controlling the destructive power of fire is merely a fraction of his vast arsenal of magic spells. He is in fact, a fiery beast composed of magma and black steel in his true form. THIS POSITION IS TAKEN.
AZAR *DEMI-HUMAN The Azar are spirits made out of fire while taking on a human form. Much like Odin's Battle Lords and Elfaria's Thrones, the Azars are direct 'generals' that serve beneath Onyx. Like the rest of the Fire Kingdom citizens, they take on a fiery, demi-human form when engaged in battle as well as a more 'normal' humanoid look otherwise. The Azars specializes mostly in battle - their sole duty is to protect and guard the Inferno King.
[/b] -- openAZAR -- openAZAR -- openAZAR -- openAZAR -- open[/ul] VULCAN *DEMI-HUMANVulcans, much like the Azar, are fiery demi-humans who are the Inferno King's favourite personal bodyguards and soldiers. These swordswomen all have a 'flame mode' when they engage in battle, their skin turns completely black and their hair and bodies burst into flames. Though they are primarily efficient with wielding broadswords, they can set ablaze any weapon and use it to their advantage with their magic. They're ruthless, and brutal to the point where they can render their enemies into ashes with their flame-tipped weapons when enraged. EFREET *DEMI-HUMANEfreets are the exact same race as Vulcans, except that they are solely male (while Vulcans are solely female). Efreets are more efficient with their pyrokinesis powers, setting ablaze anything they find amusing to burn. While Efreets are more cool-headed and tactful than the passionate Vulcans, they are just as ruthless in battle as their Vulcan counterparts, and are able to fight with blazing weapons as well. TITANIA THE CROWN OF UNPRECEDENCE AND PROSPERITY

background info, Titania - city of the humans. Neutral in the current war, Titania maintains a facade of peace while in reality, the reins of royalty are losing their grip upon the citizens. Thieves and magicians slink around the city alleys, strutting around as if they own Titania themselves. Corrupt with violence and crime, the only thing left that's holding Titania together is their withering king, and the merchants that keeps Titanian gold flowing into the country. Although a vast majority of Titanians are humans, it's a hub for many other races to come and go thanks to the trading business that exists in the kingdom.

THREE WISE MEN *HUMAN The Three Wise Men are a notorious trio of powerful sorcerers. While each of them are working individually for their own personal objectives, they occasionally lend their services to the King of Titania to further benefit their own gains. The Three Wise Men are capable of powerful curses and magic, such as transforming people into frogs, etc.

However, all magicians and witches are burdened by the same duty; and that is the responsibility of their magic. The sooner they realize it, the less likely bad karma will befall upon them... VAGRANT THE EFFERVESCENT, LOST ALONG THE WAYWARD WAY

background info, Those who have no ties of loyalty, or those who did not swear the oath of alleigance to their crowned kings are the wandering vagrants who travel in-between countries. Most Vagrants are former citizens of their own kingdom but were exiled due to a crime they might have commited, or other particular reasons. Whatever it is, Vagrants are of all shapes, sizes, and race. They do work for any client, aAs long as they are paid, they are willing to do whatever they are capable of doing. Vagrants are often well-avoided from regular townsfolk; some rumors are made that they have made dark deals with Queen Odette to gain power. Some are thieves and travel in bands, attacking any traveller or merchant on the road and rob them, leaving their dead corpse behind.
MERCENARY *ANY RACE EXCEPT FOR TITAN & UNDEAD The most common type of Vagrant, mercenaries are seasoned fighters and bodyguards who are employed by all sorts of people who are seeking protection. A nobleman may seek to hire a few mercenaries to keep him safe on the road if he is thinking of traveling beyond the kingdom border. Or a merchant might hire a mercenary to help keep an eye on his goods and defend his wares from any thieves that are intent on stealing. Whatever the case is, mercenaries are hired for many reasons, as long as they get the job done, and they get it done right.
ROGUE *ANY RACE EXCEPT FOR TITAN & UNDEAD Rogues are the most conniving of all thieves. They steal for a living, and they kill for the thrill of it. They often band together and attack traveling caravans on merchant routes. Outlawed by the government in their home countries, they have no real homes and are always on the move, stealthily relocating from one place to another Most rogues work together in pairs, but some band together as a large group like a pack of hungry wolves.
VIKING *ANY RACE EXCEPT FOR TITAN & UNDEAD Much like their land-bound cousins, the rogues - vikings are the terror of the sea, pillaring unfortunate ships that come across their way. They are a crass lot, and their activity has gone up ever since the war started since most army forces have been expended into the war battles. vikings are very much like pirates, except for the fact that they don't wear eyepatches or wield pistols... despite that fact, they are a fearsome bunch, and they often travel in packs, each pack manning their own viking ship.
NECROMANCER *ANY RACE EXCEPT FOR TITAN & UNDEAD Necromancers were perhaps, once renowned wizards and magicians, but they have come to abuse their powers and the fruits of their research on something much more sinister. They have sold their souls to the she-devil Odette, and in exchange they can summon and reanimate corpses, bending them to do their bidding and will. This tampering of the deceased has made them infamous, almost fearful, and Necromancers are now known as grim harbingers of ill omen.
